Josh has a non-negotiable belief that those who served this country in uniform deserve our nation’s highest commitment and admiration. Our veterans must be able to live with dignity for the extraordinary service they gave to protect our freedoms.
In Office Josh…
- Sponsored and passed the Dignity For Our Heroes package, which built housing for homeless veterans in Nassau County and amended the Nassau County Human Rights Law to prevent discrimination against veterans
- Penned the Hiring our Heroes Act, which exempted veterans from having to take the civil service exam. Making it easier for veterans who seek to re-enter the workforce or advance their careers is essential to ensure that they can support themselves in their post-service lives
- Worked to expand access to mental healthcare and health services for our veterans
- Helped modernize Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legions to accommodate the needs of veterans across Nassau County
In Congress Josh Will…
- Work tirelessly to prevent the closure of the North Shore VA Medical Center, which provides care to hundreds of veterans from across Long Island
- Expand tax credits for employers who hire veterans to ensure our heroes have stability after their service
- Push the government to build housing to end veteran homelessness in the United States. No veteran should have to go without a roof over their head
- Work across the aisle to ensure veterans receive the resources they need, from burn pit victims to wounded heroes in need of medical care. Protecting the heroes that defend our freedoms should not be a partisan issue
