PUBLIC SAFETY
Josh voted to INCREASE funding for law enforcement and stood up to those aiming to “Defund the Police.” It’s why Nassau’s major law enforcement unions have always supported Josh, because they trust him to keep our community safe.
TAXES AND FEES
Josh has NEVER raised taxes since taking office and delivered a $70 million tax cut for Nassau families. Josh also sponsored bills to eliminate unfair fees like the Red Light Camera Fee.
TACKLING CORRUPTION
Josh introduced first-of-its-kind legislation to institute mandatory background checks for all politicians, penalize candidates who lie about their backgrounds, and bar criminals from running for office.
VETERANS
Josh has worked diligently to take care of our veteran heroes. His legislative initiatives have included the “Dignity for Our Heroes” bill to house homeless vets, the “Hiring Our Heroes” bill to tackle veteran unemployment, and most recently, a new county “Veterans’ Bill of Rights.”
ROADS
Josh fought to successfully repave every major county road in District 18, including Berry Hill Road, Cold Spring Road, Underhill Boulevard, Glen Cove Road, and Sagamore Hill Road. He will continue to pressure local municipalities to fix residential streets.
