Infrastructure is at the core of the success of our businesses, trade, and economy. Broken roads and outdated transportation prevent community members from accessing more fruitful opportunities in healthcare, education, and employment. That’s why Josh has worked to revitalize Long Island’s infrastructure so that our local economy is as successful as possible. Josh has a proven record of securing funds and investing in infrastructure-focused projects. Now, we need a member of Congress who has served local communities and will fight to deliver dollars back into Long Island and Queens. Nobody should have to drink unclean water, suffer through power outages, or navigate unmodernized transit options to reach their workplace.
In Office Josh…
- Spearheaded record investment in the repaving of each and every road in Nassau County
- Secured a $50 million upgrade to the Bay Park Sewage Plant and $15 million in long-overdue repairs to the Bayville Bridge
- Sponsored laws that created public report cards for every road, tunnel, and bridge in the country, allowing Nassau residents to monitor improvements throughout their community
- Led the charge to reduce nitrogen levels in county waters by proposing a grant to replace aging cesspools with brand-new septic tanks
- Helped pass budgets which upgraded fire stations, financed new life-saving technologies, supplied new ambulances, and provided police cars to keep our communities patrolled and safe
- Established Nassau County as a Climate Smart community for the first time in county history
In Congress Josh Will…
- Focus on repaving roads in need of repair, starting with immediate and overdue upgrades to the Long Island Expressway
- Focus on modernizing our antiquated infrastructure, including upgrading LIRR service stations and trains, investing in the electrification of the Oyster Bay Branch, and ensuring that East Side Access is completed
- Upgrade our power grid while holding PSG&E accountable for outages
- Fight tirelessly to protect the Long Island Sound, investing in oyster farming while holding the Sound’s polluters accountable
- Pave the way for the conservation of open space around Long Island, as well as the designation of additional park land for all to enjoy
- Revitalize Nassau Coliseum and the surrounding area via the Nassau Hub Project which would stimulate the local economy and retain Long Island’s young and empty nesters.
