Just four days away

Our most crucial campaign deadline thus far is the end-of-quarter fundraising deadline on Thursday, March 31. I'm truly thankful for all that you've done to keep this campaign going. It's been the honor of a lifetime to gain the support of so many people like you. So this time, I'm not asking for large checks. I'm asking for $3.

Yup. Just $3.

It's not just about how much we raise. It's also about how many people show up and join our movement by contributing to it. And that's the way it should be.

Look, we have just 90 days until the June 28th primary to make our case to the voters. The coming days, weeks, and months are going to be a whirlwind. Our campaign office will be buzzing with volunteers and interns making calls and stuffing envelopes. Our TV ads will air in a few weeks. And I'll criss-cross the five counties that make up our district, meet voters, and share my message.

And you know what?

I wouldn't want it any other way.

You see, elections aren't about the horse-race. Not to me anyway.

Elections are about you.

Running for office is kind of like a job interview. Only I won't have one boss; I'll have hundreds of thousands of bosses. It's up to me to prove myself to voters and earn the support of my constituents. My goal is to serve you and our community well. It's my job between now and Election Day to prove to you and the thousands of people who will cast ballots that I'm the guy you want representing you in Congress. And by the way, in a democracy, that's the way it should be.

What I love most about running for public office is that you surround yourself with people. Your closest advisors become your closest friends. Your volunteers are just as committed to the campaign as you are. And of course, meeting voters provides the opportunity to learn about the lives of all kinds of people whom you hope to represent. You can't win an election on your own, and you shouldn't want to. It's an experience that's as humbling as it is thrilling.

Many thanks and more to come,

Josh
